The study to become free

 

Should I speak about yesterday’s or today’s murli? In his sakar and avyakt form Baba has always been concerned about each child’s life - that they should care for the soul. Time is so valuable. Even now some believe more in money than they do in Baba. We speak of ‘body mind and wealth’, and they come in that order. If my mind is engaged in Baba, wealth has no value. In this body when the mind engaged in Baba, money is irrelevant. Baba said yesterday: You are the four armed image – the balanced qualities and powers of both male and female, holding the four ornaments: 1) the discus (spinning the discus you realise who you are and who you belong to); 2) the mace (enlightenment of knowledge); then 3) you can be detached like a lotus (which brings a lot of benefit); and then 4) you’re able to blow the conch shell, sharing what Baba has given you through your words.

 

The history and geography of the world is long and complicated, whilst the knowledge of the cycle and the tree includes the whole knowledge of the spiritual path.  Baba says: Understand we are now in the cycle. Whilst in this body, my final moments of the confluence age should be good and my intellect should be good, then it will be easy to leave the body and take a new one. Actors performing in a play are always aware of their real home. They don’t consider the stage to be their home or the actors to be their friends and relatives with whom they have attachment; they are just acting in a play with them. Our relationship is with Baba and with souls.  There’s nothing physical or worldly in this part, just spiritual.  By not considering yourself to be a soul over a long time you stopped receiving power from God, which made you body conscious. Being body conscious made it difficult for you to be a soul. 

 

When you are body conscious you may have little pain but you show a lot of it on your face. There has to be remembrance and service together. Remembrance reduces all the pain.  Baba said yesterday yoga works like a tablet – you forget all pain.  We don’t have any difficulties but Baba helps us to make sure we don’t have to face any difficulties. Those who are in Baba’s remembrance at every moment remain sitting in God’s eyes (on His eyelids). We have to become free from bondage - Kumaris, mothers, kumars - all of us are free from bondage, aren’t we? 

 

The title for Dadi’s programme this evening is: "Being Unflappable" and the leaflet has a picture of an elephant on it. Dadi and Dadi Gulzar sat on an elephant last Diwali in Gyan Sarovar.  The elephant was intoxicated as we were! It’s a big job to look after an elephant – it’s not easy to feed it or to tie it.  Think about how you are the maharathis in God’s army. Maharathi means an elephant rider, a great soul. Horse riders have to hold the reins tightly, so that the horse doesn’t cause mischief.  The elephant is never mischievous.  Just be intoxicated and stay lost in that intoxication – then you will be loved by God. You live in the world and fulfil your responsibilities but you stay light: everything is going fine.

 

In the list of 12 values appreciation comes first: everything is good. If something isn’t good, don’t spread it into the atmosphere - give a signal and forget it. Control your words by speaking sweetly, then you won’t get upset or upset others. That’s the tapasya we have to do and see what power and fruit it brings. I first receive power then the fruit emerges. Don’t eat unripe fruit: be patient and good fruit will emerge. In the meantime, stay in the power of remembrance, then there will be lots of fruit. The power of remembrance is very subtle, whilst the fruit is very visible. Sakar Baba created the Brahmins with this power of the remembrance of the avyakt stage and then the world saw the games being created. Who created those games? People then say: ‘I belong to that One’ and then you receive strength. You can’t eat so much fruit but you can drink the juice and get a lot of power and strength from that.

 

What is effort? If I am very disciplined, having elevated thoughts and using my time in a worthwhile way, I’m able to create an immoveable and unshakeable stage. If my thoughts are weak and uncontrolled, because of body consciousness, there will be upheaval. If a scene of upheaval comes, you need to be unshakeable, and not ask what’s happening but keep patience, keep quiet and understand there’s benefit in this too. You need wisdom to stay quiet and not react to whatever happens that’s not in order.  God Himself says: Create such a stage and I will be your Companion. Who else is my Companion?  My actions. If I’ve performed accurate, elevated actions as a karma yogi over a long time, I am God’s companion – the actions will never be ordinary. Some people always follow the dictates of their own mind (manmat); they won’t listen to anything else - they will just try to clarify their view. OK, that’s their choice.  Have such deep regard for God’s instructions and he will uplift you and take you beyond tenfold. Baba knows the beginning, middle and end; while we may just talk of the present, He knows what is in the future.

 

Be a lighthouse. A lighthouse is tall and very visible; it is in one place but spreads light far and wide.  If someone isn’t on the right path, give the signal as to where it’s dangerous to pass. Understand the signal that there’s benefit in this. Stay carefree and don’t have thoughts about anything else." Manmat" is so damaging that we’re not ready to listen to what God is saying. When someone’s following "manmat," it’s easy to follow the directions of others (parmat). If you’re following "shrimat" (God’s elevated directions), no one can suppress or influence you; people have regard for you because they know you are following "shrimat." "Shrimat "is very valuable, You are very valuable. God’s" shrimat" brings value into your life. God taught us these values. God made it easy for us by teaching us practically through the life of Brahma. Let your life be an example for others too, to make it easy for them – because the soul is coloured by the company.

 

The mind is influenced by what and how we eat. Never stand and drink water or eat in a hurry but sit down and quietly, patiently. Whilst walking around, stay quiet. Talk patiently with people, not on the move.  Remember who is feeding you, who is giving you water to drink.  Baba never drank tea or coffee; he drank milk. Just seeing Baba made the heart happy and then the world became happy too. Happiness is such great nourishment. Baba gives us such nourishment of knowledge that we all become – and stay - happy.  I, the soul, am eating, God is feeding me but drama is providing me with the nourishment.

 

Each one has their part.  Perform your part, do service, then go beyond: ‘I didn’t do anything – it just happened.’ With renunciation keep yourself free from attraction and temptation, as you stay beyond, above. If you’re not yet free from attraction or temptation, you’ll go around from one thing to another. But if you are free from these pulls, you will go beyond very easily and return Home, where the Father stays, up above.

Have I become a master yet?

 

There are so many treasures to share and time is short. Would one who is being given treasures keep looking at a clock?  Let me share in such a way that you start doing the things I share about – not just walking but flying with them. One who walks on this path will definitely feel tiredness. Looking here and there slows us down and we get left behind.  It’s the fashion these days to fly to one’s destination. Friends and relatives say goodbye but are left behind on the ground. No-one sits on his seat before having said goodbye to friends and relatives.

 

Some say they work for such and such a well known company. The job may be small but there’s intoxication that they are working for that company. Remain in the intoxication of working for God’s company. If you work for God’s company, rather than for personal income, you start copying the way others are working and you earn an income. *The income at this company is so huge that not only we but the whole world can eat from that income. No poor soul will be left starving.* What is the work: the desire that no one should starve. People are begging for peace, for true love. They may get peace or food but if they don’t find love… Or they find love but no peace. The mind needs peace and the heart needs love. These come from up above.  If I have them but I don’t share with others what I am receiving from above, then how can I live? No-one can live happily without sharing. When someone is nourished with peace and love it is very natural and shows on their face. Where there’s peace and love wonders occur.

 

*What makes a soul  fluctuate? A mischievous intellect. Immovable and unshakeable ones are like kings. You want a kingdom, don’t you?  Stay unshakeable and immoveable using this easy method: everything depends on who am I and whose is mine? (mai and mera).  *I am not a horse or a donkey, I am an elephant! What is a donkey like: a donkey follow orders. It is forced to work.  It’s a poor thing. A horse show its own intoxication. We should have the intoxication that we are elephant riders. God has given me the training to become a maharathi.

 

Now, forget how to talk about negative and waste things. Listen instead to what Baba is saying. Reveal them in your practical life – they can’t be spoken of in words. God Himself is giving us sustenance – He has given us everything. He has sat and taught us.  What does this study teach us? It teaches us to become royal souls and to claim a kingdom. *Many have become slaves rather than masters of their minds and intellects.  In fact, the mind and intellect belong to me – not I to them. I should not let them make me behave like a donkey. There’s a subtle connection of the mind and intellect with the sanskars. Sanskars make the mind and intellect work in the way they direct. We need to pay attention to transforming our sanskaras. If not, we create further karmic accounts by using them*. Don’t keep remembering your relatives – not even by mistake. Your Father and Mother are that One up there.

 

Brahma Baba practically showed us how to experience all relationships with Shiv Baba – I am His child, then His father, then His wife... Right now I am His son and He enters the body and made me His wife and that’s how all you children were born. All of you have received a Mother but I have only received a Father; I don’t have a Mother. Shiv Baba is Father and Brahma our mother. When we stay with him we realise what he is like fully and so are greatly fortunate. We have to establish the religion of truth through truth. I have to be truthful. Truth is my religion. When I stay in the religion of truth that Shiv Baba has established through Brahma then I am powerful. I need to have such power within that it destroys falsehood in others.  With honesty we can do very good service. We just need honesty, that’s all there is too. The power of God’s love makes us honest and truthful. In His love there is power. 

 

No matter how many storms come I will not fluctuate. Big tests come to maharathis but don’t be afraid. When you understand that whatever you are, you are God’s, then there can be  stability. Seeing my stability the test passes by.  But Maya takes time and makes you belong to her – you may say externally ‘God I am yours’ but internally many still follow Maya’s dictates. There isn’t that cleverness to belong to God.

 

There’s a lot of value for time. We have to always reach where we need to be on time. Dadi wants to be able to welcome you on time. We are all going to the Home together. As we are here together make your stage so stable, as Brahma Baba did and ascended to his other role. I chitchat with Baba, saying you went away at 93 even though I’m 96 and he says you stay down there and make your stage like mine.

 

There’s intoxication when the things Baba is sharing is absorbed. If there’s fluctuation there isn’t complete faith or the power to move along on the basis of truth. Tests of all kinds will come and do their work but I should understand that all these external things are perishable and Baba has enabled us to surrender body mind and wealth and use them in worthwhile way in service. If we do service, even more service will happen.  If I had something hidden away, I would be afraid. There is in fact no need to keep anything. People nowadays carry money unnecessarily. Airports these days are like shopping centres. Look how the intellects of human beings have become! The intellect has to be so refined so that there is no fluctuation, no desire that pulls the intellect.. Do the things Baba wants. If you have any weakness, don’t keep it hidden inside – remove it. It’s not fitting to be harbouring weakness. We are alert, accurate, ever ready, all-rounders - and we are ever-happy – because Baba is with us. Om shanti
