Faith, truth and victory
Q: Dadi has said that it’s our relationship with Dadi that enables the wheels of life and service to move easily. What if someone is not close to Dadi – geographically or emotionally. How can they come close?
You have to bring them close! You can be far away but still close (paas), and so can pass through any situation with a pass mark. We have to have the sense to keep relationship, connection and communication with the One above – be light and receive might, then become light and right in everything. This gives us the power to keep moving along. We talk about 12 virtues and 8 powers – we develop these through our relationship and communication with God. In silence we move beyond the worlds of talkie and movie. The soul conscious stage enables us to go beyond the physical world and become subtle, complete with all virtues. Through the avyakt stage we become karmateet – or is it the other way round? If I understand and value these things, I won’t be careless or lazy and make excuses. Some don’t come close, because they have some doubt or question; they don’t recognise their fortune and so don’t feel close to Baba. When someone has the taste for something, they’ll go after it. So, if the child follows Baba, Baba will be present.
Q: We always want to say ‘ha ji’ but sometimes we have to say ‘no’ – perhaps it’s about staying in our self respect, getting a balance or taking care of the body. How do we say ‘no’ without feeling guilty?
Have the sense to know when to say ‘yes’ to what is beneficial for yourself and others and ‘no’ to what doesn’t seem right – this makes you free. Baba told us today never to say we are sick. The Supreme Soul will give the soul power to be available wherever there is service; He will make the impossible possible. Don’t use the body as an excuse; recognise that the pain is your karmic account. When you do everything in yuktiyukt way and want to serve from the heart with love, God picks you up and enables you to serve. Doing service in remembrance, I know that I’m not doing it anyway, it’s Baba. Having the consciousness of being an instrument brings a lot of benefit. We shouldn’t let the pain show on our face but just get on and do what we have to do. There’s a difference between consciousness and conscience. It’s not in our greatness to feel guilty. When you are present at the right time, you are happy and God is happy – and you’ll do wonderful service! The Supreme Soul is filling the soul with spirituality, so we should take care not to be body conscious. Yes, we have to take care of the body Baba has given you in trust but it is not your body and we shouldn’t start asking ‘why?’ or make excuses, when the body is sick.
Q: If we are still battling with changing my sanskars, would we still go into the first division? How can we be in love with the transformation process? Dadi, did you ever battle with your sanskars?
I don’t know how to battle! I just know that faith brings victory and truth brings success. If I have the feeling to serve and realise that God is my Almighty Authority Father, then I’ll automatically love the study and the attainment it brings and will want to become an embodiment of knowledge. Think how much benefit there is in this godly study! It takes us into the golden aged world. Do you want to have a royal or subject status there? Royalty wouldn’t talk about battling with sanskars; they would just concentrate on making the Lord happy with an honest heart. Have that courage and you will receive help and then you will fly. You need each one of the powers for this – especially the power to merge – and it’s important to be able to appreciate.
Baba gave us a lot of love and inspired us. Baba always gives the return for the service we do. In bhakti, devotees get the return just once; our direct connection with God means that ours is for 21 births. So there’s no need to interfere in what others are doing. Nor do we need to worry about money or buildings. Neither Shiv Baba nor Brahma Baba need money and Dadi doesn’t either – it’s all for the children. Baba is Karankaravanhar who tells us: Do service and create your fortune. When you do, you’ll become master bestowers of fortune and inspire others to do the same. If I battle, others will do that too. We have to come into the golden age and so remember that Baba is teaching you. There is such strength in faith – you are eating the fruit of faith – and faith brings victory. Just be like the gardener who just follows his master, who inspires him and has faith in him. Stay happy - let Baba’s glance take you beyond. Never be unhappy or peaceless or ask have lots of questions. Mama would say that the One who inspires does all the work; there’s no human hand at work here.
Q: We are learning how to stay in our self respect and not give it away but the sickness of comparison today is also in the Brahmin family. How do we free ourselves from this? (Sometimes it can be positive, though, as when we get inspired by what others are achieving).
There’s 1) comparison 2) competition 3) corruption and 4) correction. With all these we are unhappy and unable to tolerate other people’s happiness. We cannot see that success is based on truth and honesty. Desire for respect makes me compare myself with others. I have to really understand and let go of the ego of ‘I’ and ‘mine’. Otherwise I won’t have the power to tolerate, to be content or to merge. Instead of feeling ‘I have to tolerate this,’ it’s better to simply move along with economy. If I keep doing service and use my breath, my thoughts, my time and everything in a worthwhile way and waste nothing then everything will come to me.
I often wonder why I’m still in this body. I’m certainly not in it to battle, to be confused or to wilt! In every corner of the world we have to do service, so that people there feel the BKs have come there to benefit everyone, and take their blessings. Let your final moment come when you are speaking gyan, just as it was with Brahma Baba. Om shanti and pop off – but that won’t happen if you’re still thinking ‘I’ and ‘my’; there’ll be a struggle. If you really love Baba, nothing can happen to you. No deity or religious founder can do what that One can do. The mother and Father have such high hopes in the children.
Q: Baba said that love in the intellect makes us victorious. What is ‘love in the intellect’?
First there’s pyaar. This is the love that Lakshmi and Narayan will give to their children – more than they will give to others. Right now they are giving it to us! Then there’s prem - the love that the gopes and gopis for One and that we also have for the murli. We are lost in love and intoxication and we are in control of our senses as we experience super sensuous joy. When you have a loving intellect through faith, you cannot have any doubt, even by mistake. Even a little doubt will prevent you from feeling the love you felt before. Love in the intellect is love for the murli and for understanding knowledge, so that we can explain it to others. Understanding the sakar murli helps us understand the avyakt murli. In the sakar murlis Baba explains so much about dharna, about the pictures, about how Shiv Baba comes in Brahma Baba and we understand that this is Shiv Baba speaking to us through Brahma Baba. Usually a father is named before the child but we Brahmins were born first and then Brahma Baba was given his name.
There is victory in truth. Souls around the world are searching for truth, so let them come and realise the truth – the true knowledge and the true Father. Be a carefree emperor, living in a world beyond sound – become alive and intoxicated with the truth. God has come for us, to take us home! If the others are not ready, we cannot go alone. Baba has his motive for not taking me: He is my Companion and I am the observer just watching it all. When Baba became avyakt, I said, ‘Baba, you have become a memorial in my heart. Baba said to me: Child, you have to create your own memorial, too. You have to give the return of all the sustenance you have received. Baba has such faith in us. He is our Teacher and Protector. When we follow the minds of others, then our own minds won’t don’t work properly and we get tired.
Q: Whatever Baba said would happen has come about and the same can be said for Dadi. Is it that you have the vision or that we believe your words and make it happen?
It is victory for truth. If there’s any mixture, there won’t be victory. If I get disheartened, that’s because I’m thinking about it too much. I have to take care that my zeal and enthusiasm never drops – that the return of my faith never reduces. Baba said it will happen. Dadi doesn’t do anything – it’s Baba. People’s need is greater now; they believe themselves that destruction is coming. I have to attain my perfect stage before it does come. There is bhavna, faith, trust and truth. With bhavna I become true, then there’s trust, then my faith brings victory.
